Member Assistance Program

Local 1262 is proud to be among the first UFCW Locals to provide a Member Assistance Program (MAP)

MAP connects our members to resources and programs that can help our members with “off-the-job” issues that affect their lives.

Need help right away? Call 211

When you call 211, a trained counselor will discuss your issues and connect you to appropriate community programs and services.

211 provides live assistance 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Services are free, confidential and multilingual.

They can assist with utilities, affordable housing, rental assistance, mental and physical health, substance use disorders, child care, senior needs, legal assistance, transportation, disability services and so much more.  NJ 211 also serves as the State Homeless Hotline and New Jersey’s Utility Assistance Hotline.

LOCAL 1262 MEMBER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM RESOURCES

If you are not in a crisis mode, Local 1262 suggests using our Member Resource Guides and Pamphlets (listed below).

The Local 1262 Member Resource Guide (available in three versions for our members living in NJ, NY and PA) provides interactive contacts and information on federal, state and local programs to help members in areas ranging from child support and elder care to financial and Social Security issues.  Please note that although we try to provide current information, the sheer volume of contacts in these guides, may mean that some programs have changed, etc.  We suggest you always contact the Agency or Organization listed directly for their guidelines, etc.

REMEMBER TO SELECT THE GUIDE FOR THE STATE IN WHICH YOU RESIDE.

All Guides are interactive, linking you directly to each resources’ website.

Some issues may fall under more than one category, so please review all relevant categories to ensure you have as much information as possible.
